Maine city seeking owner of dentures left at polling place

Nov. 10 (UPI) -- A city clerk in Maine is seeking the owner of an unusual item apparently left behind by a voter -- a set of dentures.

The Portland City Clerk's office said an election clerk stationed at Merill Auditorium discovered someone had left behind a pair of dentures after casting their ballot Tuesday.

The false teeth, which were found in an unmarked plastic bag, were taken to the clerk's office at Portland City Hall.

Anyone who knows the identity of the now-toothless voter is being asked to call the City Clerk's office so the chompers can be returned to their owner's mouth.
