Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe Nov. 8 (UPI) -- A Florida man who saw a cat examining something unusual in his yard ended up shooting a massive rattlesnake. Keith Kreiner posted a photo to Facebook showing him posing with the 5-foot, 6-inch diamondback rattlesnake he found slithering through his Bartow back yard. Advertisement "When people in Florida tell you to beware of the snakes, you better believe them!" Kreiner wrote. He said a cat in his yard tipped him off to the snake's presence and he shot the reptile with his .380 handgun. Kreiner said the sound of the gunshot brought the police to his home, but the officers' investigation ended with them snapping the photo of him posting with the snake.
