Deputies nab 8-foot alligator in Florida back yard

Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Authorities in Florida were called to a home to remove a startling trespasser -- an 8-foot alligator spotted lurking in the home's back yard.

The Leon County Sheriff's Office posted photos to Facebook showing deputies posing with the bound reptile after its capture.

The sheriff's office said deputies responded Saturday evening to the home in Tallahassee after the prowling gator was reported by residents.

The post said the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and a trapper helped with the capture.
