Snake catcher removes big lizard from under family's oven

Nov. 3 (UPI) -- An Australian wildlife catcher was called to a family's home to remove a big monitor lizard that had taken up residence under their oven.

Luke of Snake Catcher Noosa posted a video to Facebook showing how he took apart the drawer under a Belli Park, Queensland, family's oven and pulled out a massive lace monitor lizard.

"Belli Park this afternoon to relocate this big lace monitor from inside their kitchen! I struggled more with getting the draw off then catching the lizard," Luke wrote.

The trapper said the family's dog apparently chased the 5-foot lizard under the oven.
