Oct. 30 (UPI) -- A California resident's security camera captured the unusual moment a bear lurking around the front porch was chased off by a much smaller dog.
The video, filmed Wednesday, shows the bear rooting around near the front porch of the home in Colfax.
The owner's dog, Dixie, protects her home by running at the bear.
The bear, apparently startled by the canine despite its major size advantage, flees.
The owner said Dixie was not injured.
