Monkeys try to steal selfie-taker's cellphone at zoo

Oct. 25 (UPI) -- A visitor to a Chinese zoo ended up in a tug-of-war with some monkeys that grabbed onto her phone while she was snapping selfies.

A video filmed Oct. 15 at the Hainan Tropical Garden of Wild Fauna and Flora in Haikou, Hainan Province, shows the woman attempting to pull her phone free from the hands of monkeys that grabbed onto the device.

Witnesses said the monkeys grabbed the phone while the visitor was snapping selfies with the simians.

The woman was eventually able to pull her phone free from the monkeys' grasp.
