Oct. 25 (UPI) -- An operations agent at a New York state airport is going viral thanks to a video of him dancing down the tarmac while guiding a plane out of a gate.

A video posted to Facebook by passenger Terry McBride shows the Greater Rochester International Airport worker shimmying and shaking his way down the tarmac as he directs McBride's flight out of the gate.

"So this just happened out my window as I was leaving New York headed back home to Nashville. This guy rocks!" McBride wrote.

The video quickly earned millions of views and tens of thousands of shares. The worker was identified as operations agent Kyran Ashford.

Other videos have since emerged showing Ashford entertaining passengers by rapping his way through a boarding procedure announcement at an airport desk.

Ashford told ABC News he hopes his performances give passengers "30 seconds of positive vibes."

"Everything I've been doing, that's all a part of who I am," Ashford told the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle. "My mother raised me to be the type of man to walk around with great character, and that people should never be ashamed of who they are."

Ashford said he was shocked at his newfound viral fame.

"I'm mind-blown out of this whole thing," Ashford said. "I got no sleep last night, just watching all the reviews come in."
