Oct. 19 (UPI) -- An Ohio woman said she was shocked to open her DirecTV bill and discover she owed the satellite TV service nearly $185,000.

Angela Mixon-Smith said she nearly had a heart attack when she opened the bill and saw the $184,530.67 balance.

"I mean, my chest got heavy," she told WJW-TV. "I had to get some water. I don't drink. I was ready to drink."

Mixon-Smith said she signed up for a promotional offer in April to bundle her DirecTV service with a new cellphone plan with AT&T, which merged with the satellite TV service in 2015.

"I know I don't have that kind of money," she said. "And, since April? There's no way."

Mixon-Smith said she has been having trouble with service issues and confusing bills ever since she signed up for the promotional offer.

"They don't have everything together," she said. "AT&T, they just don't have it together."

An AT&T spokeswoman said the company was looking into the issue.

"We apologize for the billing error that occurred. We've reached out to the customer to resolve the issue," Holly Hollingsworth said.

Mixon-Smith's account was credited by Wednesday afternoon for the unusually high sum, but she said she still wants the company to address her other concerns.

"I just want them to straighten out my service," she said.
