Oct. 17 (UPI) -- An Ohio man took inspiration from a galaxy far, far away from his yard for latest Halloween decoration: A two-story AT-AT walker from the Star Wars films.

Nick Meyer of Parma said he started working on his front yard AT-AT -- aka the All Terrain Armored Transport first seen in 1980's The Empire Strikes Back -- in April.

"It was a weekend project," Meyer told Cleveland.com. "We would tinker with it on the weekends."

He said friends would come on the weekends and help him build the massive walking vehicle, which he said took about two days to assemble after all of the pieces were made.

"I just thought it would be neat to build a walker," he said. "It's something unique."

Becky Meyer, Nick's wife, said her husband's Halloween projects get larger each year.

"I love it, I encourage it," she told WOIO-TV.

"I liked the clowns we did one year. Last year we did Friday the 13th cabin, that was one of my favorites," Becky Meyer said.

She said the AT-AT has been attracting crowds of onlookers, who posted photos of the walker to social media.

"People will drive by, stop, and then back up so they can get a shot of it," she said.
