Van driver stopped for carrying excessive amount of cheese

Oct. 11 (UPI) -- A van driver in England was pulled over after being found carrying an excessive amount of cheese.

Beds, Cambs and Herts Roads Policing Unit said the vehicle was 41 percent over its weight limit with 2,822 pounds more cheese than it was permitted to carry.

The road police said the vehicle was prohibited to continue until the excess cheese was "removed(or eaten?)"

Eventually the driver was able to empty the van down to a reasonable weight and called a backup van to carry the excess cheese.
