Malaysia resident films large lizard hiding in toilet

Oct. 5 (UPI) -- A Malaysia resident who woke up to find a large lizard in their home captured video of the reptile attempting to evade capture by hiding in the toilet.

The video, filmed Monday in Kuantan, shows the lizard hanging out in the bowl of a squat toilet at the home before crawling into the drain and hiding out below.

The resident pours water into the toilet, causing the lizard to make another appearance when it comes up for air.

"Yesterday morning, I woke up and I opened the door of my room and I saw a big lizard outside my room," the filmer wrote. "I was shocked and afraid that it would bite me, so I call my mom to help me. The lizard slowly climbed to the toilet in my house and hide inside the hole. My mom and I tried to get rid of it, but we failed. So we decided to lock the door and call others to help afterward."
