Zebras escape circus, run wild through city streets

Oct. 4 (UPI) -- An astonished bystander captured footage of circus employees chasing after a herd of escaped zebras as they ran down a busy road.

Gabor Kardos Kardi posted a video to Facebook showing the group of zebras dashing down a street Monday in Sopron with two men in hot pursuit.

The Hungarian National Circus said in a Facebook post the six zebras escaped when an employee apparently failed to properly close their fence.

The circus said none of the zebras were injured during their time on the run.
