'Pizza Rat' brawls with other rodents over subway station slice

Oct. 4 (UPI) -- A New York commuter captured video of the city's famous Pizza Rat -- or one of its like-minded cousins -- fighting with two other rats over a slice.

A video recorded Monday at a New York subway station shows the rat dragging a slice of pizza down the stairs and into a fenced-off area.

The rat was then met by two other rats that engaged it in a tug-of-war for the pizza slice.

"I was walking down to the train platform when I saw something move a slice of pizza on the steps. Once I got close I saw the rat make a run for it He dragged the pizza with him to his rat friends on the other side of the train stall. Then the three rats fought over the slice," the filmer wrote.

"Pizza Rat" became an international celebrity in 2015 when a subway passenger filmed the rodent dragging a slice of pizza that was much larger than itself through a station.
