'Chilling' bear lounges like a human on garbage dump couch

Oct. 4 (UPI) -- A woman who spotted bears wandering a Manitoba garbage dump captured a perfectly-timed photo of a bruin lounging on a couch in a very human manner.

Mandy Stantic said she was at the dump in Lac Brochet when she started snapping photos of the bear sitting human-style on a discarded sofa.

"It looked like he was chilling, waiting for some popcorn," Stantic told Global News.

"It was one of those things, once in a blue moon kind of shot, with leg crossed and the paw on the arm rest," Stantic said. "It's pretty neat."

Stantic said she often sees bears at the dump.

"It's not too typical you would see them relaxed like that though," she said.
