Oct. 3 (UPI) -- A koala in Australia was rescued after climbing on top of heavy machinery at a construction site early on Tuesday morning.

The koala was found clinging to a drilling rig after climbing up 90-feet to get a bird's eye view of the construction in Adelaide.

"She was really high and she could've gone much higher had she chosen to," Anne Bingham of South Australian Fauna Rescue told 7 News Adelaide.

South Australian Metropolitan Fire Department arrived at the scene and used a crane to help bring the high-climbing koala back to safety.

"Firies were impressed this Koala managed to get where it did," the department said. "Thankfully our aerial rescue appliance safely retrieved it."

An identity check uncovered that the koala has a history of getting into trouble, earning the nickname "Uni-girl" after she was rescued from a local university.
