Sept. 27 (UPI) -- Police in Virginia captured a mysterious white pig that had been spotted wandering around a local neighborhood for several days.

Henrico County Police shared video of officers parked in the middle of a busy street to chase down the speedy pig as it sprinted through traffic on on Tuesday.

"Just another day at the office...and yes, the irony is not lost on us," police said.

Police believe the pig is the same one that was spotted wandering around a Glen Allen neighborhood about a bout a week ago.

Attempts to capture the pig were unsuccessful until police managed to corner it off the road after it held up traffic.

"We were able to catch him this morning," Lt. Shawn Sears of Henrico Animal Protection Police told the Richmond Times-Dispatch. "He is no longer an issue, thank goodness."

Police were able to confirm the pig was domesticated and neutered, but could not say for sure whether it was the same pig previously spotted in the neighborhood.

Local animal control is working to relocate te pig and have already found it a new home.
