Game wardens catch escaped alligator taking a bath at RV park

Sept. 26 (UPI) -- A 9-foot alligator that escaped from a Texas state park was captured by game wardens when it was spotted taking a bath at an RV park.

The Texas Game Wardens posted photos to Facebook showing a group of wardens with the alligator they captured in a small pond at an RV park near Estero Llano Grande State Park in Weslaco.

The post said the alligator escaped from the state park earlier in the month.

"Due to the good work of the Texas Game Wardens and State Park employees it was safely returned to its original habitat," the Facebook post read.
