Sept. 26 (UPI) -- A British rapper added to his collection of vintage soccer jerseys by asking fans to send them his way in exchange for free tickets to his tour.

Loyle Carner offered fans a pair of tickets to any tour on his show in exchange for rare soccer jerseys after a fan attempted to bribe his way into a show in Dublin.

"Bro, missed out on tickets for Dublin on Wednesday," fan Gregg Reid wrote to Carner on Twitter. "Will trade you an OG 1990 Sweden home shirt size large for two GL spots."

Carner said he was intrigued by the "very tempting" offer and encouraged any fans with jerseys in his size to make their own offers.

"For [anyone] else looking to get on guestlist for this tour, this is how. I'll swap two tickets for a [large] vintage footy top," he wrote.

In the following hours Carner made good on his offer by rewarding several fans in exchange for various jerseys, including a Crystal Palace 2001 jersey he said his "Mum'll go mad over."

At least one fan didn't quite make the cut, as Carner showed off his knowledge of soccer attire by sussing put a potential fake.

"Gunna have to see the tag mate," he told one fan. "Potential knock off this one."

After being inundated with offers, Carner granted Reid his wish for inspiring the trend.

"You've started something brilliant Gregg," he wrote. "You're on the list +1, see you Wednesday."
