Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe Sept. 22 (UPI) -- A New York state road was littered with frozen treats after a Hershey's ice cream truck collided with a box truck passing through a wildlife refuge. The Genesee County Sheriff's Office said the ice cream truck and the box truck collided about 7:30 a.m. Thursday on Route 77 in Alabama's Iroquois Wildlife Refuge, {link:WHAM reported. Advertisement The sheriff's office said the ice cream truck was traveling north on the road when it crossed into oncoming traffic and crashed into the box truck. The ice cream truck driver, who police said was conscious and alert, was taken to Strong Hospital to be checked out. Two men in the box truck did not require medical attention. The crash sheared off the back of the ice cream truck, causing ice cream sandwiches and other frozen treats to spread across the road, {link:the Daily News reported.
