Curious dog's first encounter with stairs does not go well

Sept. 22 (UPI) -- A pet owner captured video of a confused dog exploring her new home and encountering the stairs for the first time -- to disastrous results.

A video posted to Instagram this week by user notwhatrunessay shows Emma, an American Eskimo dog, and Stacy, a husky, enthusiastically exploring their family's new home.

The video, which went viral after being posted to Twitter and Reddit, shows Stacy come to a flight of stairs and initially seem perplexed before attempting to traverse the unfamiliar terrain -- leading to a spectacular fall.

The Instragrammer said Stacy was not injured and another video shows the canine skillfully using the stairs alongside her canine sister.

"We have two types of fluffy explorers in the house. One is definitely more of a risk taker than the other. This is from when we first moved into the new house," the dogs' owner wrote.
