World's largest serving of guacamole prepared in Mexico

Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Hundreds of people combined thousands of ingredients to create the world's largest serving of guacamole.

Mexican wholesaler Empacadora de Aguacates Sierra del Tigre set a Guinness World Record with the roughly 6,500-pound serving of guacamole in Jalisco, Mexico earlier this month.

A total of 815 people worked together to convert the 25,200 avocados, 3,500 tomatoes, 3,000 lemons, 750 onions and 90 bundles of cilantro/coriander into the hefty serving.

The massive helping of guacamole was served in a container covered in hand designs to represent the community's help as people lined up to sample the record-breaking dip.
