Man tricks Amazon's 'Alexa' number-guessing game

Sept. 14 (UPI) -- A man showed off his technique for tricking Amazon's voice assistant "Alexa" in a number-guessing game.

Norm Krumpe shared a video of him easily winning the "Guess My Number" game on his Amazon Echo Show, by fooling the system with an invalid guess.

"I have amazing skills at this game," Krumpe said. "I can figure out the right number in two guesses or less, every single time!"

He began by telling Alexa to guess his number and setting a limit between zero and one million.

Krumpe then guessed 3.2, which was rejected by the system but caused the Alexa to reveal the number it had chosen.

"Please guess a whole number between zero and 545,387," the voice assistant prompted.

Krumpe then offered 545,387 as his guess, prompting Alexa to congratulate him for guessing the number correctly.
