Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Police in Florida responded to a home to capture an alligator that ended up in the family's pool after apparently being "disoriented" by Hurricane Irma.

The Cocoa Police Department said in a Facebook post officers responded to the family's home Tuesday after they spotted the small alligator swimming in their pool.

The department posted a video showing officers using a pool net to try to capture the alligator, which proved to be a difficult task as the gator was not keen to be captured and the water was clouded with leaves and other debris.

"Oh the places you will go...." the Facebook post said. "Sometimes the call for help leads us to the strangest places... like one home in Cocoa where Hurricane Irma made this little gator a bit disoriented and he ended up in the swimming pool. CPD Officer Oscar Pimentel answered the call and was more than happy to GO FISHING!"
