Sept. 13 (UPI) -- A pair of California co-workers who spotted a fox with its head caught in a chain-link fence used a pair of bolt cutters and a long wrench to free the animal.

A video captured by a man who works in Crestline shows him using the tools Friday to snip the metal fence around the trapped fox's head.

The man then uses a wrench to bend the metal and create an opening large enough for the fox to back out of its predicament.

"Upon the arrival of the secretary and I to work, we heard the chain link fence being rattled," the man wrote. "To our surprise was the fox stuck in the fence. I calmly grabbed some bolt cutters and a long wrench to keep my distance from the fox. Prior to freeing the fox, I handed my phone to the secretary after I started the recording the video on my phone. The fox was never harmed by the cutting of the fence or the bending of the wire. Laughed out loud to see him freed."
