Sept. 8 (UPI) -- A Delaware woman said a seemingly average Sunday turned into a lottery winning streak that ended with a $10,000 jackpot.

The 34-year-old woman told Delaware Lottery officials she and her husband stopped by the Shore Stop in North Dover and bought a scratch-off lottery ticket that turned out to be a winner, so she cashed it in for a new ticket.

The new ticket was also a winner, leading her to repeat the cycle once again, this time leading to a $10,000 jackpot.

"I won on three different tickets!" the Dover woman said. "We kept going back into the store after we scratched the ticket in the car, to see if we could keep the streak going. I thought we should play one more time to see what happened, and what do you know -- third time's the charm!"

She said scratching off the big jackpot was a thrill.

"I thought, here we go again," she said. "I started shaking once I saw the zero ... and another zero!"

The winning ticket was from the Delaware Lottery's $250,000 Cash Instant Game.

"Our children's birthdays are coming up this month," the woman said. "They have always wanted dirt bikes, and now we can finally give them this special gift."

The couple said they also plan to buy their great aunt a deep freezer.
