Mille Lacs County Animal Control shared a post containing photos of Rocky, the 5-foot pet boa constrictor, that made its way out of its enclosure and into the frigid Minnesota weather. "However due to the cooler temps-he may not be doing well or could possibly be deceased...If this is the case-his owner would still like closure." Rocky's owner Ammy Sweeny said she and her mother have owned the pet snake for 12 years, but it made its way out of her home after she accidentally left the house door open. "I've dedicated my life to animals and this is the worst thing that could happen," she said. "He was depending on me and I feel horrible and embarrassed." Sweeny said she doesn't believe the boa constrictor poses a threat to anyone, but encouraged neighbors to keep an eye out for him in warm places. "I'm praying to God he didn't climb into someone's vehicle," she said. "He could just climb up through the bottom."
