Sept. 7 (UPI) -- A pair of Texas men used a boat to rescue a buck that became stranded in high waters and was heading toward bad currents.

Conner Christian posted a video to Facebook on Saturday, showing the rescue of the deer seen struggling to run through Hurricane Harvey's floodwaters on a ranch in Angleton.

The video shows one of the men grab the deer by the antlers and hold its head above water as they towed it to dry land.

The men said the deer had been headed for disaster.

"Saved a nice buck that was headed straight for some bad currents of the Brazos," Christian wrote.
