Bear cub does battle with family's giant inflatable flamingo

Sept. 7 (UPI) -- A California family captured video of a visiting bear cub's brutal wrestling match with an inflatable flamingo just outside of their sliding glass door.

Eric Liang of Arcadia posted a video on Wednesday to YouTube showing the baby bear and its mother visiting the family's back yard Wednesday.

The video shows Liang's family posing for photos with the cub, which comes right up to the glass door, while the mother hangs back and observes.

The family's amusement quickly turns to concern when the bear cub's attention is captured by a nearby pool toy, their inflatable pink flamingo.

The baby bear bites and paws at the flamingo, which at one point obtains the upper hand in the battle by falling atop its attacker.

The cub grapples with the flamingo for about two minutes before it is able to deflate its inflatable foe.

The family said the bears have previously been spotted at their home in April and June.
