Sept. 5 (UPI) -- A man helped rescue a group of baby ducklings from a backyard pool after they found themselves trapped underneath the edge.

Brooke Darling captured video of Michael van de Riet from the edge of the pool in Queensland, Australia, after they misjudged the distance to tile floor and were left stranded in the water.

Van de Riet carefully scooped the daring ducklings back out of the pool, as they quickly rejoined their mother.

One particularly athletic duckling managed to hop over the ledge on its own, right before van de Riet lifted the final straggler back to safety.

The duck family happily continued on their way after the reunion, as van de Riet turned back toward the camera.
