Sept. 1 (UPI) -- An Australian snake catcher was called to the home of a family who were shocked to spot a 6-foot snake slithering on top of their refrigerator.
Stuart McKenzie of The Snake Catcher 24/7 Sunshine Coast posted a video to Facebook showing him removing the massive carpet python a Noosaville family found on top of the fridge this week.
"Originally he was just relaxing on top but then he made it difficult as soon as I touched him," McKenzie told the Sunshine Coast Daily. "Usually they just slide off the top [of the fridge] but he was able to get his head in the back and wedge into different areas."
"I don't really like head grabbing which I did have to do gently in the end," he said. "It took me way longer than it should to get him out... even the fridge started beeping at me."
McKenzie said the snake likely slithered into the home through an open door or window.
