Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe Aug. 29 (UPI) -- Wildlife rescuers in Florida responded to a country club where they rescued an adult male deer that was seen struggling to escape from a pond. The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post that deputies responded to the Laurel Oak County Club on Sunday morning on a report of two deer stranded in a pond. Advertisement The deputies summoned rescuers from Wildlife,Inc. Education & Rehabilitation Center, and they were able to quickly rescue the surviving deer in an operation recorded on video by the deputies. The other deer drowned before rescuers arrived, the sheriff's office said.
