Aug. 27 (UPI) -- A resourceful dog's emergency preparedness is being praised online after it was photographed carrying a bag of dog food down the street amid Hurricane Harvey's landfall.
Tiele Dockens posted a photo to Facebook on Saturday showing the wet and muddy canine trotting down a road in Sinton, outside of Corpus Christi, while holding a bag of dog food in its mouth.
"This dog is walking around Sinton TX carrying a entire bag of dog food with him. LOL #refugee," Dockens wrote.
Dockens later updated the post to say the canine, named Otis, was reunited with his owner. She said he apparently escaped as Hurricane Harvey -- since downgraded to Tropical Storm Harvey -- made landfall on the central Texas coast.
"I don't know where he got the dog food from," Dockens said.
