Aug. 23 (UPI) -- A young girl hijacked a live interview on British news station ITV by climbing across the set.

ITV News shared video of the toddler thrusting herself into the spotlight as her mother and brother discussed milk allergies with lunchtime host Alastair Stewart.

"The joys of live TV!" the network said. "When children take over your desk when you're halfway through an interview."

Stewart was speaking to Lucy Wronka about her son George's milk allergy when her daughter Iris decided to wander onto the stage.

Iris began to climb onto the desk next to Stewart as the host, her mother and brother attempted to continue the interview.

Stewart eventually acknowledged the young girl as she struggled to make her way on top of the desk, reaching out to her and encouraging her to "carry on."

George briefly attempted to join his sister on top of the desk, but his mother gently held him back.

Eventually the segment came to a close, as he promised a "more peaceful time" during the 6 p.m. hour.
