Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Police in Texas were able to wrangle a mother goat and her kid after a chase that was caught on body camera and a round of "neGOATiations."

The Kemah Police Department posted photos to Facebook showing officers walking the runaway goats back to Shelia Thorne's home after a Sunday morning wild goat chase through the neighborhood.

The department also released body camera footage from the chase.

"Officers located the escapees but they refused transport! After the BAAAAAAAAD animals refused to go with officers they entered neGOATiations and the Officers were able to get them both home safely !! Great work guys!" the Facebook post said.

Thorne, whose daughter cares for the goats as part of a 4-H program, said she believes someone released the animals on purpose.

"They didn't do that, someone let them out," Thorne told KTRK-TV.
