Aug. 18 (UPI) -- A gecko survived being swallowed whole by a snake in Thailand thanks to two of its lizard comrades and a stick-bearing witness.
The confrontation, filmed by witness Sawet Numpet in Bangkok, began when a snake swallowed a gecko whole on a tree branch.
Numpet's video shows two other geckos that witnessed the attack then approach the snake and bite its tail and body.
The witness prods the reptile with a stick while the geckos attack, leading the snake to throw up the now red and slimy gecko.
Numpet then watches as the regurgitated gecko slowly regains its strength.
