Aug. 17 (UPI) -- An Australian snake catcher responded to a home where a mother found a deadly snake wrapped around her child's Lego play set.

Tony Harrison of Gold Coast and Brisbane Snake Catcher posted a photo to Facebook showing the massive eastern brown snake, one of the most venomous species in the world, slithering in a sinister fashion next to the Lego toys at the family's Tallebudgera, Queensland, home.

"Tallebudgera eastern.. Lego Gotham City's newest villain on the block," Harrison wrote.

A video posted to the social media site documents the serpent's capture.

Harrison said the mother had initially thought the snake was a comparatively harmless carpet python, but she called the snake catcher out of caution.

"She thought it was a carpet python because they are quite common out there but when I told her it was an eastern brown the blood drained out of her face," Harrison told the Gold Coast Bulletin. "The eastern browns are fairly common too but you generally don't see them wrapped around children's toys."

"The big ones are a bit slower which makes them easier to catch but they are just as venomous as the smaller ones," Harrison said.
