Pike tries to steal fisherman's catch, ends up as two-for-one bonus

Aug. 16 (UPI) -- A Michigan fisherman who ended up in a tug-of-war with a large pike over a hooked bass ended up reeling both fish into his boat.

A video posted to YouTube by Clint Joyner shows the fisherman struggling to pull in a bass when the pike bites down on the hooked fish's tail and tries to take it for itself.

The footage shows the fisherman struggling to free his catch from the tenacious pike, which holds on even when pulled out of the water.

The man ends up bringing both fish into the boat.

"Oh my god, no way!" the filmer exclaims as the panicked pike lets go of the bass too late.
