Aug. 15 (UPI) -- A New Jersey police department took an unusual call and ended up answering an "age old question" -- "how many cops does it take to lasso a pig?"

The Woolwich Township Police Department posted photos Saturday to Facebook showing the aftermath of the chase that resulted when a pig was reported running loose in a neighborhood.

"To answer the age old question. Just how many cops does it take to lasso a pig? The answer is 3," police wrote.

"Earlier we received a call about a loose pig. Yes. A loose pig. Our brave officers located said pig," the post said. "Constructed a makeshift lasso and lured it back into the owners yard with dog treats. No pig(s) were hurt in the process."

The department bravely called upon its Facebook fans to engage in a special type of pig roast: "And sure. Go ahead. Make your best pig/bacon/cop joke in the comments below."
