Possible panther recorded lounging by Florida woman's pool

Aug. 14 (UPI) -- A Florida woman is asking social media for help identifying a big cat that wandered into her back yard to relax by the pool.

Michelle Myers-Kelling posted a video to Facebook that she said was recorded last month while she and her husband were sitting and enjoying the view behind their North Port home.

She said she was unable to determine whether the large feline was a Florida panther, a bobcat or some other species of big cat.

"My husband and I were sitting out back when we seen this beautiful cat. Is this a bobcat or a panther? Don't mind the green pool. It is beautiful now," Myers-Kelling wrote.

Commenters were split as to whether the animal was a panther or a bobcat, while some others suggested it may have been a domesticated big cat that either escaped or went out for a walk from its owner's home.
