Aug. 1 (UPI) -- An irrigation worker in Australia was recorded coming to a the rescue of a kangaroo that ended up trapped in a narrow trench.
Fritz White was working in Goondiwindi, Queensland, when he and his colleagues came across the small kangaroo on its back in a narrow trench.
White theorized the kangaroo might have become stuck while hiding from hunters.
The video shows white lift the kangaroo by its arms and give it a toss to sturdy ground, where it lands on its feet.
White flashes the 'roo a "that's gold" hand signal -- an Australian variant on the thumbs-up -- and the marsupial hops away to freedom.
