July 31 (UPI) -- A motorcyclist who blew through a red light and was hit by a car in China was saved from serious injury when he was thrown into a road sign.
The video, recorded by a security camera in Guigang, Guangxi Province, shows the man on a motorcycle run through a red light.

The motorcycle is struck by a car and the rider goes flying into a road sign, which gives way and breaks his fall.
The man is seen getting up seconds later, having avoided serious injury.
