Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe July 31 (UPI) -- A 72-year-old Oklahoma woman is being praised online after killing 11 copperhead snakes she found slithering under her home. Susan Thompson posted a series of photos to Facebook showing her elderly neighbor, Mrs. Newby, and the venomous snakes she killed at her Lequire home using a shotgun, a shovel and a rake. Advertisement "Mrs Newby killed 11 copperheads last night at her house! She's a snake killer if you need help call her! She is 72 years old!" Thompson wrote. Family members said Newby killed four more snakes the day after she took care of the first 11. They said she killed a 5-1/2-foot western diamondback rattlesnake last month.
