July 28 (UPI) -- Passengers on a charter boat off the coast of New York state captured video of a mako shark that jumped onto the boat and became stuck.
The video, filmed off Long Island on July 6, shows the mako stuck in the rails at the front of Capt. Don Law's Outlaw Fishing Charters boat.
Law and his crew are eventually able to free the shark from its situation and cut some rope wrapped around its tail so it can plunge back into the water.
Law said the blood in the shark's mouth resulted from the predator's attempts to bite through a metal rail.
