Firefighters hoist cows out of canal in Britain

July 28 (UPI) -- A crew of British firefighters used a crane and a winch to hoist two cows that wandered into a canal and became trapped.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service tweeted photos and shared video of the Friday rescue that resulted from two cows being trapped in a watery canal on the Staffordshire Moore.

The video shows the rescuers using a crane and winch system to hoist one of the cows back to dry land.

A video posted to Twitter after the rescue shows one of the rescued cows happily munching on some grass.
