July 26 (UPI) -- A Colorado police department shared video of the rescue of a baby deer that broke into a house through a window and became trapped.

The video, posted to Facebook by the Lakewood Police Department, shows an Animal Control officer chasing the fawn through the home and catching it with a towel.

The officer carries the fawn outside, where it bounds away down the street.

"LPD Animal Control officers helped rescue a fawn that broke into a house through a basement window in Lakewood," the post said. "Good Work! The fawn is freed without injuring itself and runs off to find mom! Animal control officer Gerlach did a good job catching the fawn....even though he said it was a strong little fella!"
