A horde of thousands of tiny fiddler crabs formed a massive "crab army" near an estuary in Massachusetts.

"Fiddler crab army marching on Little Harbor Beach Estuary!" the department wrote.
The "crab army" moved together in various directions, climbing over each other forming a massive pile near the estuary.
Fiddler crabs are known to inhabit tidal marshes and the department said the crabs make the pilgrimage along the estuary "all summer long" every year.
