The Asian Art Museum said it dressed the 2,405 participants in green and pink ponchos and had them form into the shape of a lotus flower at about noon Sunday in Civic Center Plaza. Advertisement The attempt, which {marks the 50th anniversary of San Francisco's Summer of Love and promotes the museum's "Flower Power" exhibition, beat the previous Guinness World Record of 2,297 people forming the shape of a flower in Rochester, N.Y., California Patch reported. The record was verified at about 1:20 p.m., after organizers recruited passers-by to boost their numbers, museum officials said.
