July 18 (UPI) -- A pair of women paddleboarding off the California coast shared video of the moment they were visited by a curious great white shark.

A video recorded by Francesca Nash and posted to Facebook by her paddleboarding companion Rose Lebow shows the two women stand-up paddleboarding Saturday off Santa Claus Lane in Carpinteria.

The shark passes back and forth between the two paddleboards as Nash films.

"It's beautiful," Nash says in the video.

The shark did not show any signs of aggression toward the women during the encounter.

Nash's mother said in a Facebook post that great white sharks have recently been spotted hunting for stingrays in the area.
