July 10 (UPI) -- A group of fishermen off the coast of Noway came to the rescue of an eagle that was struggling in the water after a fight with another bird.

The video, captured July 1 off the coast of Bliksvaer, shows the eagle perched on the side of the boat while one of the fishermen helps it clean off and dry its wings in the wind.

The filmer said the fishermen spotted the eagle struggling in the water after an aerial battle with another bird of prey.

"He was too heavy to fly up again and we saw that," the filmer wrote. "We pulled the boat over and tried to rescue the big bird from the sea. The eagle saw the situation and decided not to resist and behaved easily."

The fishermen said the eagle did not appear to be seriously injured, so they helped it reach the rocks on a nearby island to finish drying itself off.
