July 6 (UPI) -- Animal Control officers in Texas said they captured a family of escaped pigs by luring them with some Doritos and Cheetos snacks.
Cedar Park Police said Animal Control Supervisor Lacey Clemons and Animal Control Officer Amber Smith responded when a mother pig and her piglets escaped from a barn Friday and wandered about a mile to the Ranch Trails neighborhood of Cedar Park.
Clemons and Smith used the snacks they had on hand in their cars, Cheetos and Doritos, to lure the porcine fugitives to a patrol vehicle.
Clemons drove the piglets back to the barn in her vehicle, but the 600-pound mama pig was too large to get into the car, so Smith used the salty snacks to entice the mother pig to walk the mile back to the barn.
